This lime yogurt smoothie is cool and satisfying for hot summer days. Since it only has four ingredients, it is very quick and easy to prepare. Leftover yogurtnanda lime yogurt smoothie can be kept in the refrigerator in a jar with a tight fitting lid for 3 to 4 days. Shake the jar well before serving.
Leave the frozen limeade concentrate out on the counter for about 30 minutes or until it is soft enough to stir. It does not have to be completely thawed. Remove the lid from the container and stir the contents so that the lime juice is evenly distributed with the ice crystals. Measure the limeade and place in the blender. The remaining limeade concentrate in the container should be kept in the freezer until needed.
Place the ingredients in the blender in the following order: 3/4 cup (6 fl. oz.) frozen limeade concentrate and 6 ice cubes .....
Now add the 1 lb. plain yogurt (1-2/3 cups) .....
and finally add the 1-1/3 cups milk.
Put the lid on the blender and hold in place while blending to help prevent the ice cubes from bouncing up and knocking off the lid. Blend at medium speed for 20 to 30 seconds.
Serve immediately or keep chilled in the refrigerator until ready to use.
